Passwords are everywhere. Our modern, high-tech society depends on passwords. Unfortunately, passwords are often our most vulnerable point of attack in cyberspace. How can you strengthen your password profile on the Internet? First, avoid using the same password on multiple online accounts. If a hacker gets your password, I guarantee they’ll immediately try to see if it works on other websites. Second, use LONG passwords — I’m talking 15 characters minimum. Modern penetration testing shows that long, simple passwords, like ‘WhoLoves2ski&eatpizza?’ are a lot safer than short, unintelligible ones ie: ‘8$two@9!’. Last, if you have too many passwords to remember, use a password manager like Lastpass or Keypass.
